What Defines an ASAP Rocky Type Beat

An ASAP Rocky type beat typically combines atmospheric, often psychedelic or ethereal melodies with hard-hitting trap drums and basslines. The beats are usually mid-to-up tempo, ranging between 140 and 170 BPM, which matches Rocky's versatile flow. The soundscape tends to be rich and layered, incorporating elements like reverb-heavy synths, subtle guitar riffs, and sometimes jazz or soul influences. Producers aim to create a vibe that supports both smooth, introspective verses and aggressive hooks.
